We believe that play enhances every aspect of child’s development and learning. In fact, it is child’s window to the external world and forms the foundation of social, intellectual, physical and emotional skills that are requisite for success in school as well as life.
Tilak Global School hosted the much-awaited Annual Sports Day on 7th December 2024, on the sprawling grounds of the school.The Annual Sports Day was held for grades pre-primary to Secondary standard. Their parents were cordially invited to the event.
The celebration took place at the school's playground, honoured by the presence of Dr. Arun Janardhan, Director of Tilak Group of Schools and Colleges, Mr. Suresh Pillay, Registrar and office administrator of Tilak education society, Chief guest - Mrs. Richa Sameet, Marathanor and Saree runner, Guest of honour : Mr. Kalpesh Waikar,Footballer, Runner and Consultant at the Salaam Bombay Foundation,Mrs. Angela Almeida, principal of Tilak Global School, Dr.Snigdha Pradhan, Principal of Sarada Kurup College of education and research. Mrs. Parul Mahajan, principal of Tilak International School & Jr. College, and Mrs. Manisha Panhalkar, Vice-principal of Tilak International School & Jr. College, Newspaper reporters :Mr. Sharad Wagdare from Punya newspaper and Mr. Suryakant Waghmare from Lokmat newspaper.
The event began with the ribbon cutting by the Chief Guest and the launch of balloons into the sky. The school's four houses cheered for their individual members, marching past one another to kick off the sports day. The welcome dance was performed by student of Xth, lifting everyone's spirits. The School’s playground was overflowing with zeal, passion and excitement. The students displayed a wide array of energetic and bouncy sports oriented dance events ranging from Zumba, Aerobics and Hoola Hoops. They mesmerized the audience with their energetic performances.
The games organized for the parents saw impressive participation. Participants received certificates and medals from the Director, the Chief Guest, and the Principals. Depending on how well each of the four houses' representatives performed in various events such as frog jump, sack race, lemon and spoon, football, throwball, skating, and running during the competition, each was awarded points. Certificates and trophies were bestowed upon the deserving winners across academics and Co- curricular categories, casting a glow of pride and accomplishment.
Finally, the Sports Day celebration concluded with the National Anthem as a tribute to our nation. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and cherished memories.
