The importance of cleanliness in the school is to provide a healthy and safe environment for students. There are more than the required number of toilets on each floor, and they are maintained to a high standard. Boys and girls have separate toilets. The school believes that healthy children in a hygienic environment will produce high learning output. Thus, the school focuses on providing a healthy learning environment by providing facilities needed for sanitation, such as clean lavatories, toilets, and sanitation.
An adequate supply of drinking water must be provided for all the students in the school. There is a water purifier with a water cooler installed on each floor which is maintained on a regular basis.
A school is where a child spends most of his/her time apart from home and the safety of children in the school must be a high priority. As per Maslow’s theory of hierarchy, safety is the most basic aspect of a child’s life. Keeping the school safe allows children to look forward to being in an encouraging environment that promotes social and creative learning. When their basic safety needs are not met, children are at risk of not feeling comfortable at school. Keeping all these things in mind, our school provides with the following:
- Proper installation of CCTV cameras in all areas of public access.
- Grills on all windows
- Proper installation and maintenance of fire extinguishers and sprinklers
- Properly trained guard at the school entrance gate
- Trained support staff
The school has the facility of a canteen for both students and staff on its campus, which provides healthy snacks and other eatables, etc., at a fair price.
